Kodo is a Japanese taiko-drumming company, returning to the Chicago Symphony Center for a mesmerizing show as part of its One Earth Tour 2019: Evolution. Showcasing "the perpetual creative evolution of taiko performing arts ensemble under the direction of Tamasaburo Bando," Kodo's work has been described as a near-perfect musical experience and is sure to leave a profound impression on all who witness the precise and passionate artistry at hand. Transcending cultural and linguistic boundaries Kodo speaks to "the common bonds we all share" through its rhythmic and stirring sounds.
