Download iCal FileThe Honors College Kabbes Study Abroad Scholarship supports students studying abroad in amounts ranging from $250 for shorter programs to $1,750 for longer programs.
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, students must apply to a study abroad program endorsed by the UIC Study Abroad Office and be a member of the Honors College in good standing. A cumulative UIC grade point average of 3.40 upon application for the scholarships is required, as is a completed application.
This application is for students planning to study abroad in Spring 2026.
Deadlines and Application
Application is open from 9/14/2026 - 10/20/2026
Students are typically notified if they received a scholarship before the Study Abroad Office’s deadline to commit to study abroad programs.
Priority consideration is given to students who have not previously received this award and who have not previously studied abroad.
The application is available through UIC SnAP at uic.academicworks.com and the specific deadline can be found there.
