UIC Honors College students should continue to monitor their UIC email and follow guidance issued by the UIC Campus on COVID-19 policies. The campus has established the following website as a central sources for updated information about UIC's planning for Fall 2020.
Honors College Operations
In order to safeguard the health and well-being of the Honors College community, our suite in Burnham Hall will remain closed until further notice. All Honors College staff and advisors are working remotely, and will be able to address any questions via email or appointment. To contact staff directly, please visit our staff directory. Honors Activities are still required for Fall 2020. If you are unsure of what counts as an Honors Activity, please visit our honors activity options page.
We understand that some of these options, such as service activities, internships, and research, may not be as feasible as they would be if we were on-campus this fall, so you will need to adjust your plans accordingly. The Honors College is working to identify various service and research experiences that can be completed remotely. Watch your email and the Honors Announcements for additional information about these opportunities
Remember, if you are taking an Honors Course (Honors Core, HON 200, HON 201, or HON 301), it will count as your Activity.
If you need additional help in selecting your Honors Activity for the Fall, please talk to your Honors Advisor.
Honors Activity Forms
You will need to select your activity and initiate an Honors Activity Agreement form in the HARS system the third Friday of the semester (Friday, September 11).
To simplify the approval process for your agreement form, we have upgraded the HARS system to obtain approval from your activity supervisor and your Honors fellow electronically.

Online advising is available using a variety of virtual meeting platforms. Please schedule an appointment with your advisor as you normally would using iAdvise, located in your my.uic.edu portal, under the “Advising” tab. After you schedule your appointment, your advisor will provide additional information on how to access the meeting.
Don’t know who your Honors Advisor is? You can find this information in iAdvise under “My Network” or log in to HARS.

Monday through Friday: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00 am to 10:00 am
