Faculty Fellow & Post-Doctoral Fellow Featured in PBS Documentary

PBS's "Native America" documentary features research by UIC anthropologists: Dr. Anna Roosevelt, Professor of Anthropology, and Dr. Christopher Davis, Post-Doctoral Fellow in Teaching and Mentoring in the Honors College. Made with the active participation of Native American communities, "Native America" weaves history and science with living indigenous traditions to bring new perspectives on the connections between the ancient people of North and South America.

The four-part documentary premieres on October 23, 2018 at 9pm on PBS. Dr. Roosevelt and Dr. Davis appear in the series' first episode titled "From Caves to Cosmos," which was screened on campus on October 18. The screening and Q&A was sponsored by the Honors College, the Department of Anthropology, the Native American Support Program, and the Rafael Cintrón Ortiz Latino Cultural Center.
