Honors Fellow Op-Ed In TROUTHOUT details the recent Illinois TEAACH Act
Anna Romina Guevarra, an Honors College fellow, Founding Director of the Global Asian Studies Program and a Co-PI of the UIC AANAPISI Initiative, detail the recently passed Teaching Equitable Asian American History Act (TEAACH) in is a nonprofit news organization Truthout. Their Op-Ed talks about how the recent act makes Illinois the first state to mandate the teaching of Asian American history in K-12 public schools.
