Families of Honors College students – including parents, guardians, siblings, grandparents, partners, and more – are all part of our community. We hope these resources help you explore and learn more about UIC and the Honors College.
Information for Parents
Help your student navigate the option to attend UIC and the Honors College.
Additionally, consider attending Open House, an all-access event held in the fall for prospective students, alumni, and neighbors who want to see what UIC is all about.
Information for Families
UIC offers orientation just for families that occurs while your student attends orientation. Explore that option here.
The Honors College also hosts a reception before the UIC Convocation at the beginning of the fall semester that welcomes students and their families – look for more information shared at the end of the summer if your student is joining us as a first year student in the fall.
Honors College Curriculum
We welcome you to explore the curriculum that your student will be following as part of the Honors College community. View flowcharts that help clarify the different entry points into the Honors College, and learn more about our requirements, Honors Activities, and the capstone project.
