Riccardo Muti leads the CSO in two of Mozart's most popular works, followed by Rimsky-Korsakov's mesmerizing tone poem inspired by The Arabian Nights. Experience an evening of dramatic masterpieces, filled with vivid orchestral color and memorable themes that highlight Maestro Muti’s assertion that "the essence of our spirit is melody."
Be sure to attend the pre-concert conversation with Carl Grapentine from 6:45pm to 7:15pm Armour Stage.
Following the pre-concert discussion, at 8:00pm, the performance will include:
- Mozart Overture to Don Giovanni
- Mozart Symphony No. 40
- Rimsky-Korsakov Sheherazade
