Honors Convocation Ceremony

7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

The Honors College Convocation will begin at 7:00pm on May 3 at the UIC Dorin Forum, located at 725 W. Roosevelt (at the corner of Halsted and Roosevelt). Doors will open at 6:00pm.
Both graduates and guests will enter through the main doors at Halsted and Roosevelt.
Upon entering, guests will be directed to the Main Hall. Guest tickets are not required. Guest seating is all general admission. If your guest needs an accessibility accommodation, you may contact UIC Venues and Events directly at 312-413-5700.

Parking will be free in lots 5C and 6.
GRADUATES: Please plan to arrive by 6:00 p.m, and no later than 6:15 pm, dressed in academic attire, for line-up before the Convocation. Please follow the directional signs to find the line-up location.
Please make sure you have your grad pass. Your grad pass can be obtained by logging into your Marching Order account and selecting Print Grad Pass. Your grad pass will be scanned at check in and will also be used on stage to play your name recording. If you are attending more than one ceremony, please make sure you have the correct grad pass assigned to this ceremony.

After checking in, graduates will line up backstage and will process in for the ceremony in alphabetical order. As we will be presenting your Honors College certificates during the ceremony, it is essential that you are in the correct position in your line by no later than 6:45 p.m.
All graduates must wear cap and gown. Tassels should be worn on the right . You will receive your Honors Gold Stole during the ceremony. You are also encouraged to wear any other stoles or cords that you have received in recognition of your achievements.
The ceremony will be approximately 2 hours. Graduates are expected to stay for the entire ceremony.
The virtual ceremony will open 15 minutes prior to the start of the in-person ceremony. The virtual ceremony will include the live webcast and the graduate slides. The link can be found on the commencement homepage: www.commencement.uic.edu
Facility Information
All graduates and guests will enter through metal detectors.
Please note all bags are subject to be searched.
The following items are prohibited in the Credit Union 1 Arena:
• Tripods (cameras welcome)
• Strollers
• Helium Balloons
• Noisemakers or air horns
• Pyrotechnic devices
• Outside food or beverages
• Weapons of any kind including knives, spikes, sticks, or anything else deemed unsafe
• Laser pointers
• Graphic boards
• Bottles or cans
• Mace
• Aerosol cans
• Confetti
Memorabilia
Professional photographs will be taken by Grad Images. Grad Images will send you proofs, and photos will be available for purchase directly from them. To register in advance, please vsit www.gradimages.com/registration.
