The Honors College Research Symposium will take place in person on Monday, November 20th, 2024, in the Student Center East – Illinois Rooms, 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. (Presenter check-in 1:00 – 1:45 P.M.)
This event showcases the work of students who have engaged in research or a capstone project. The Research Symposium is a qualified venue for the Honors Capstone public presentation requirement. Eligibility is limited to current Honors College students. Projects will be judged by UIC faculty and staff.
Abstracts will need to be submitted at the time of registration.
Students must register and submit an abstract (300 words or less) by 5:00 P.M., November 1st. This is a firm deadline. The abstract content will depend on the nature of your work but should highlight the topic of the student’s research in language that is understandable to a broad academic audience. Be advised that your abstract must be approved by your capstone supervisor before submitting. (If you have questions about how to write an abstract, come to our abstract writing workshop!
