The first steps in any new journey can feel overwhelming at times, and the first few weeks of your first semester in college are no exception. Which is why it is so helpful to remember that you're not alone in this, that countless students before you have grappled with these exact feelings and have successfully navigated their first year at UIC. The best way to do this? To hear directly from those who have done so and to learn what tips and tricks they learned along the way.
Thankfully, our Honors College Advisory Board have put together a Student Panel comprised of Honors College students who, not all that long ago, stood where you are now and are chock full of helpful advice to help you better navigate your first year in the Honors College. Over the course of this panel discussion, not only will you get to learn all the "insider" information you're dying to learn, you'll also have the chance to ask questions of your fellow classmates and get answers to the things only other students might know.
We hope you will join your fellow first-year students and Honors Advisor, Fermin Valle, in order to hear from upper level students what it means to be a truly successful Honors student at UIC.
