The Honors College Graduation Celebration recognizes the Fall 2020 Honors College Graduates.
The Honors College will host a virtual Graduation Celebration to recognize the accomplishments of this semester’s graduates. In addition, each Honors College graduate will receive by mail a gold Honors stole and a certificate of Honors College membership as a visible symbol of accomplishment. Students who have graduated in August 2020 or will graduate in Fall 2020 are invited to participate in this ceremony, as well as any campus commencement events.

During the ceremony, each graduate will be recognized with a personalized Powerpoint slide, featuring your name, degree information, capstone, and accomplishments. In addition, graduates will be able to provide a digital photo and a personal message that will be included on the slide. Additional information is included in the graduation declaration form.
Caps and gowns are not required for your photo submission, but they are available for purchase from the UIC Bookstore website, uicbookstore.org. Caps and gowns are not required to attend the Graduation Celebration.
Items ordered from the UIC Bookstore website will be available for in-store pick-up Monday–Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., curbside pick-up Monday–Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or orders can be shipped via UPS ground for $9.95 until December 7. Most items are in stock now. Regalia for JMLS graduates will be available no later than November 16.

Graduating Student Speaker
The Honors College would like to support your opportunity to share your graduation message with your peers. If you would like to be considered for our Graduating Student Speaker, please submit a draft of what you would say in your address to Stacie McCloud at firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than noon on Monday, November 16. You should plan on speaking for 3-5 minutes.
