The Sally and Kevin Desouza Family Scholarship is awarded each Spring to a full-time student in the Honors College pursuing a degree in the College of Business Administration.
Student Testimonial:
Hello, my name is Tereza Progri and I am a first-generation Albanian-American pursuing dual degrees in finance and psychology at UIC. My goal is to become a financial advisor and later pursue master’s degrees in Business Psychology and Business Administration to empower individuals through financial literacy, ensuring they make sound investment decisions and understand the behavioral patterns that shape markets.
At UIC, I serve as Chief of Staff for the Undergraduate Student Government and Co-President of the Honors College Advisory Board, leading initiatives that enhance student engagement, advocacy, and campus resources. I also organized UIC’s first-ever Mental Health Town Hall, bringing policymakers and experts together to discuss mental health accessibility throughout Illinois and on campus. Through my leadership and academic journey, I strive to create a meaningful impact—both in my community and in my future professional career.
