Congratulations to Keshav Gandhi, the Donald and Leah Riddle Prize winner!
The Donald and Leah Riddle Prize is awarded yearly at Commencement to an outstanding graduating senior regardless of major field. The award is based on academic excellence and leadership.
Keshav is a senior dual majoring in Biology and Statistics, as well as minoring in Computer Science. In his four years at UIC, in addition to completing his two majors and minor, Keshav maintained a 4.0 GPA and was heavily involved in research and volunteer work on campus and in his local community. In a prior semester, Keshav was the recipient of the 2023 Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship, one the most prestigious and competitive awards for sophomores and juniors. He was also a Gates Cambridge Scholarship Finalist this Spring 2025. Keshav’s career aspiration is to specialize in oncology and serve as a physician-scientist.
He has also been substantially involved with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+), working to better access for this underrepresented group.
