Student Testimonial:
Hi, my name is Yueyang Qu. I am a second-year student at the University of Illinois Chicago, majoring in accounting and finance with a minor in international business. I am currently a part of the Honors College and Business Scholars program. Throughout the semesters I have attended UIC, I have been recognized on the Dean’s List and awarded the Ernst & Young (EY) Endowed Scholarship. I chose to pursue a career in the business world, especially in accounting, because I have always been interested in numbers and knew I wanted to do something related. Looking ahead, I have secured two summer internships with PwC and Plante Moran. In the long term, I would like to shape my aspirations to earn a CPA license, pursue further education, and develop a career in the business world with a global perspective.
Outside of the classroom, I am actively involved in shaping the future of business at UIC. I serve as the Director of Membership and am one of the founding members of Women in Finance, where I help build a mentorship program to support and empower aspiring women. Additionally, I am on the Special Events/Recruiting Committee for the Collegiate Association of Business Scholars (CABS) and volunteer as an Honors College Ambassador, welcoming new students and sharing my passion for the UIC community. At the same time, I work as a Front Desk Student Worker at the Honors College and as a Business Ambassador in the College of Business.
