Honor College Students win first prize in Global Surgery Student Alliance Hackathon

Honor College Students Mehreen Ali, Safa Hameed and Lubna Shah won first prize at the Global Surgery Student Alliance Hackathon. The three UIC Bioengineering students credited UIC for their problem-solving skills when developing a medical device solution that would lead to more successful treatments of gastroschisis in Rwanda.
