Honors Alumna recipient of the State Department Critical Language Scholarship

Mona Zubi, an Honors College student who recently received their bachelor's in Public Policy and minor in Russian, was awarded the U.S. Department of State’s Critical Language Scholarship. The Critical Language Scholarship Program allows recipients to participate in an intensive foreign language program. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, Zubi is studying Russian through a virtual program based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Zubi was also recently selected as a Fulbright alternate to potentially serve as an English teaching assistant in Tajikistan.
