Honors College Fellow quoted on Illinois state officials filing legislation to develop new state flag designs

Hannah Higgins, a professor of art history at the UIC is quoted in a Pantagraph story about Illinois state officials considering filing legislation that would create a commission to develop new state flag designs and, ultimately, make a recommendation on whether the current flag should be replaced. Higgins discusses the history of state flags, how the current Illinois flag works or not, and says there is “nothing unique” about the current flag which Higgins says is “Incredibly boring.”
