Honors College Fellow senior author of new Nature Communications study
Alexander Mankin, an Honors College Fellow for Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy, is the senior author of a Nature Communications study. The Alexander Neyfakh Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy at the UIC College of Pharmacy's new study aims to answer if antibiotics can be used to treat human diseases in addition to bacterial infections. The research team includes partners from Germany and Switzerland, as well as other UIC researchers.
