Englewood social justice artist Tonika Lewis Johnson and University of Illinois Chicago sociology professor (and Faculty Fellow) Maria Krysan are co-authors on a new book, "Don’t Go: Stories of Segregation and How to Disrupt It" which focuses on how telling someone not to go to a neighborhood can harm a community. They talked to residents about how they confronted and combatted harmful narratives about the city’s South and West sides.
