About
Rachel Arias joined the Honors College in August 2024 as an Academic Advisor and Program Specialist for the Honors Student Ambassadors while teaching HON101. Rachel is a first-generation and double alumnus from UIC, earning a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Disability & Human Development and an M.Ed. in Urban Higher Education. Before her role in the Honors College, Rachel began her higher education career as a Senior College Recruiter in UIC’s Office of Admissions and Visitors Center, and later served as a Cohort Academic Advisor in the College of Business Administration. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending quality time with her family and pets, exploring new restaurants to try, and tackling the daily NYT mini crossword and games during her morning commute.
Rachel was involved in the following during her undergrad experience: research, student ambassador, capstone, service, and holding an executive board position in Greek life.
