Tricia Guerrero serves as an Honors Academic Advisor and Capstone Specialist providing capstone project support. She has earned a B.P.S. from The Culinary Institute of America in Business Administration, B.S. in Psychology from Arizona State University, and most recently her PhD in Psychology from UIC with a focus in understanding the cognitive mechanisms underlying the comprehension and reasoning processes involved in learning from text. For her research, she was awarded the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Her passion for learning and supporting student success stem from the 15 years she has spent in the classroom, teaching at the secondary and postsecondary levels. In her free time, Tricia enjoys finding new restaurants around Chicago and biking on Lakeshore Drive.
