Start the new decade right with the Chicago Honors Signature Program as we venture to Theatre Wit for About Face Theatre's production of The Gulf, written by Audrey Cefaly, and directed by former Director of the UIC Gender & Sexuality Center, Megan Carney.

On a muggy summer evening somewhere down in the Alabama Delta, two women troll the flats looking for redfish and questioning where their relationship will go next. As passions and tensions flare, the couple must confront what it takes to overcome the space that has grown between them.

Winner of the Lambda Literary Award for LGBTQ drama, The Gulf is hailed as "PROFOUNDLY CRAFTED with a striking emotional core," by TheatreBloom and will stay in our hearts and minds for weeks after the curtain falls. Join us as we celebrate the artistic career of Megan Carney in her newest role as Artistic Director at About Face Theatre.
